Attendance Incentives & Rewards

Our goal this year is to ensure that every student attends school regularly.

Showing up for school has a huge impact on a student’s academic success starting in kindergarten and continuing through high school. Even as children grow older and more independent, families play a key role in making sure students get to school safely every day and understand why attendance is so important for success in school and in life.

In order to encourage positive attendance Harvest Valley has implemented the following attendance incentives:

MONTHLY CLASSROOM ATTENDANCE COMPETITIONS:
Every month the class with the highest attendance percentage in their grade level will receive the Attendance Trophy.  The class with the highest percentage of the entire school receives the largest trophy with pencils for the class.

INDIVIDUAL MONTHLY PERFECT ATTENDANCE:
Each student who earns perfect attendance for the month will get a prize from the Assistant Principal.

10 DAY PERFECT ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE:
Classes that have received 10 Days of perfect attendance as tracked by the teacher will have the counselor visit with prizes for the class.

ATTENDANCE CHALLENGE DAYS:
Classes that have the highest percentage of attendance on specific attendance challenge days will receive the HAWK to keep in their class until the next attendance challenge day.

TRIMESTER AWARD RECOGNITION FOR PERFECT ATTENDANCE:
Perfect Attendance -At school every day of that trimester with no tardy’s (never late for school) and no early sign-outs.

END OF THE YEAR AWARD RECOGNITION FOR PERFECT AND OUTSTANDING ATTENDANCE:
Perfect Attendance - At school every day of that trimester with no tardy’s (never late for school) and no early sign-outs. Students receive Perfect Attendance Trophies.
Outstanding Attendance - At school everyday, may have a tardy or early check out.
